Mr. (born in 1969 in Cupa Prefecture, Japan) is a contemporary Japanese artist whose work blends anime aesthetics, otaku culture, and a deep reflection on youth, sexuality, and identity in modern society. A protégé of the influential Takashi Murakami and a key figure in the Superflat movement, Mr. has developed a unique visual language that fuses innocence and provocation, fantasy and social critique.

His work spans drawing, painting, sculpture, and installation, and is characterized by depictions of young, often preadolescent female characters rendered in a highly kawaii (cute) style, influenced by manga, video games, and Japanese pop iconography.
