CORINE PERIER
Corine Perier is a French painter born in Paris in 1964. She works in oil on canvas and wood panels.
The artist draws her inspiration from the animal world and her oil paintings are meticulously executed much like "Cabinets of Curiosities". Her work goes well beyond the boundaries of classical and contemporary art.
Corine mixes eras as well as characters, to better make us dream and plunge us into her universe where young and old meet. Each piece tells a story through the animal representations she imagines. The artist takes her inspiration from cultural references like pop culture, vintage toys, the trompe-l'oeil even the grand masterpieces, while integrating iconic characters.
Corine is graduated in History of Arts and Beaux Arts de Paris and she lives and works at Montpellier, France.
She had her first solo show in France with Galerie Montmartre in Paris in 2011 and her artwork is part of many galleries and private collections in Europa and USA.
