Shan Project, cuyo verdadero nombre es Anyel Martinez, es una artista escultora cuyas creaciones están cautivando al mundo. Es natural de Villena, en España. ¿Qué le hace especial? Originalmente soldador, ha conseguido fusionar su pasión por los animales y su oficio en una marca que ahora es reconocida internacionalmente.

Experimentado profesional del metal, Shan_project decidió un día combinar lo que mejor sabía hacer -trabajar el metal- con lo que más amaba, su perro Rocko. El resultado fue una escultura poligonal inspirada en la cabeza del animal, una chispa de genialidad que, alimentada por el amor y horas de dedicación, se convirtió en fuente de inspiración para su proyecto de vida.

Tras completar su formación profesional de grado medio y superior en mecanizado, Shan Project empezó a producir soluciones metálicas en el mercado laboral. Tras 17 años en el oficio, tuvo la idea de decorar su nuevo hogar con una figura alegórica de su mascota. Se inspiró en el modelado poligonal en 3D y en las posibilidades que ofrecen las nuevas impresoras tridimensionales, adaptando estas técnicas a su campo favorito: ¡el metal!

Gracias al corte por láser, al modelado en plegadoras CNC y a la soldadura, Shan Project es capaz de crear versiones de animales con el toque innovador que requiere el arte, conservando al mismo tiempo una autenticidad que las hace reconocibles al instante. Sus obras, como todas las creaciones artísticas, son únicas y están numeradas. Son pequeñas colecciones muy limitadas, que ya se distribuyen por todo el mundo por encargo.

El digno sucesor de Navarro Santafé

A mediados del siglo XX, el escultor de Villena Antonio Navarro Santafé se hizo un hueco en el panorama artístico español con sus esculturas de animales. Sus obras se han convertido en emblemas de varias ciudades españolas, como «El Oso y el Madroño» en Madrid, el «Toro de Lidia» en el Puerto de Santa María y el «Monumento al Caballo» en Jerez de la Frontera. Shan Project, whose real name is Anyel Martinez, is an artist sculptor whose creations are captivating the world. She hails from Villena in Spain. What makes him special? A seasoned metal professional, Shan_project one day decided to combine what he knew best – working with metal – with what he loved most, his dog Rocko. The result was a polygonal sculpture inspired by the animal’s head, a spark of genius that, fuelled by love and hours of dedication, became a source of inspiration for his life project.

After completing his intermediate and higher vocational training in machining, Shan Project began producing metal solutions on the job market. After 17 years in the trade, he had the idea of decorating his new home with an allegorical figure of his pet. He was inspired by 3D polygonal modelling and the possibilities offered by the new three-dimensional printers, while adapting these techniques to his favourite field: metal!

Thanks to laser cutting, modelling on CNC bending machines and welding, Shan Project is able to create animal versions with the innovative touch that art requires, while retaining an authenticity that makes them instantly recognisable. His works, like all artistic creations, are unique and numbered. They are small, very limited collections, already distributed on request around the world.

Navarro Santafé’s worthy successor

In the mid-twentieth century, Villena sculptor Antonio Navarro Santafé made his mark on the Spanish art scene with his animal sculptures. His works have become emblems in several Spanish cities, such as «The Bear and the Tree» in Madrid, the «Lidia Bull» in Puerto de Santa María and the «Monument to the Horse» in Jerez de la Frontera. To these can be added numerous bullfighting works that consolidated his reputation as an animal sculptor.
