Nicolas Desbons

Nicolas Desbons nació en 1969 en París. Desde la secundaria, se centró en estudios de arte. En 1989, se matriculó en una clase preparatoria en la A.T.E.P. Se fue a Estados Unidos en 1990 y se matriculó en el California College of Arts and Crafts de San Francisco.
Obtuvo una licenciatura en Diseño Industrial por el CCAC en 1994 y, simultáneamente, descubrió la siderurgia. Regresó a Francia en 1995 y comenzó su aprendizaje como cerrajero y herrero en Montreuil con Fred Vigy.
Un año después, fundó E.U.R.L. Desbons Design en Montreuil, que en 1999 se convirtió en La Boîte de Fer en colaboración con Fred Vigy. Un cambio de opinión en 2001 lo llevó a cambiar de estudio y estatus, pasando a ser artista. Desde entonces, ha participado en exposiciones y ferias comerciales en Francia, Bélgica y los Países Bajos

Nicolas Desbons

Nicolas Desbons was born in 1969 in Paris. From high school, he focused on art studies. In 1989, he enrolled in a preparatory class at the A.T.E.P. He left for the USA in 1990 and enrolled at the California College of Arts and Crafts in San Francisco.
He earned a BA in Industrial Design from CCAC in 1994 and simultaneously discovered steelworking. He returned to France in 1995 and began his apprenticeship as a locksmith and ironworker in Montreuil with Fred Vigy.
After a year, he founded the E.U.R.L. Desbons Design in Montreuil, which in 1999 became La Boîte de Fer in partnership with Fred Vigy. A change of heart in 2001 led to a change of studio and status to that of artist. Since then, he has participated in exhibitions and trade shows in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
