HOM NGUYEN

Hom Nguyen, nacido en París en 1972, es un artista autodidacta con un estilo instintivo.

Como personalidad poco convencional, sus obras lo son tanto. Trabajando con carboncillo, gouache, fieltro, óleo o incluso pluma, cada uno de sus cuadros se presenta como un combate, un enfrentamiento mano a mano con la materia de la que surge una voluntad: revelar lo más profundo del ser humano a través de la línea y el color.

La elección de los colores, la aplicación de la materia o la vivacidad del gesto se hacen siempre con el fin de mostrar al mundo su visión del ser humano más allá de las apariencias. Sus obras capturan y trascienden la profundidad de los sentimientos y la complejidad de las emociones que abruman el alma humana.

Sus representaciones sutiles tratan sobre la dualidad de lo visible y lo invisible, lo material y lo inmaterial. Así, Hom Nguyen nos empuja a cada uno a una reflexión, a una introspección, sobre lo que mostramos de nosotros mismos, lo que tratamos de ocultar y lo que realmente somos.

Hom Nguyen, born in Paris in 1972, is a self-taught artist with instinctive style.

As an unconventional personality, his works are just as much. Working with charcoal, gouache felt, oil or even pen, each of his paintings appears as a combat, a hand-tohand confrontation with matter from which arises a will : to reveal the deepest of the human being through the lines and color.

The choice of colors, the application of the material or the vivacity of the gesture are always done in order to show to the world his vision of the human being beyond appearances. His works capture and transcend the depth of feelings and the complexity of the emotions that overwhelm the human soul.

His subtle representations deal with the duality of the visible and the invisible, the material and the immaterial. Thus, Hom Nguyen pushes each of us to a reflection, an introspection, on what we show of ourselves, what we are trying to hide and what we really are.
